My fischertechnik collection, which has been wandering more or less aimlessly around the apartment for the past few years, should get a permanent place when the upcoming reorganisation work is done. I spent a relatively long time looking for a suitable piece of furniture for it and unfortunately didn’t find anything; so I had to tinker again on holidays and holidays.
Given: a place to store all the stuff.

Also given: fischertechnik, mostly packed in Allit sorting boxes (available from time to time at discounters). There is a little more loose stuff to store that is not in the picture.

Solution: a “chest of drawers” on wheels with compartments for the sorting boxes and two drawers at the top for the parts that are not so easy to sort.
I ordered the wood from a specialist online retailer for cutting and had it delivered – it turned out that the mail-order company was capable and friendly, but the carrier has since lost its way, delivery or both. In any case, the whole thing arrived here with a short delay, neatly packed. There are no pictures of the assembly, because that happens in the basement under cramped conditions with dust and so on - I didn’t want to hang my camera in there.
Result:

(the power supply is usually still in the left-hand drawer)
